Stuart Wilson is the attorney behind Wilson Legal Consulting. Admitted to the State Bar of California in January 2022, Stuart advises founders and operators of technology and online businesses on contracts, entity formation, intellectual property, privacy and employment matters under California and federal law.
The practice is built on a decade spent inside operating businesses rather than inside a law firm. Since 2020 Stuart has served as vice president of technology operations and strategy at a U.S. industrial lighting manufacturer, structuring its vendor and supplier agreements and building the systems that run its sales, fulfillment and customer service. Before that: fraud and legal operations at Wells Fargo, project management scaling production lines at a manufacturing company, and several years of high-volume technical sales. The result is a lawyer who reads a contract the way an operator does, for what it will actually do to the business.
The practice is remote-first and works on flat rates wherever the scope allows, with any hourly cap written into the engagement letter before work begins. The attorney you speak with on the discovery call is the attorney who does the work.
